Lemon Ornament

Picked a little early, on purpose.

This lemon ornament by Cody Foster is a glass lemon with a dimpled, glossy peel in soft yellow green, finished with a single gilded leaf on a gold cord. The color is the good part, more garden than grocery store.

Hang it on a citrus tree, set it in a bowl on the kitchen counter, or give it to the friend whose entire palette is olive and cream. A good hostess gift, a better stocking stuffer, and the kind of ornament people pick up to look at.

Styling Notes:

The soft green tone gets swallowed on a green tree, so hang it against a cream ribbon or out where a light can hit it. Pairs with the Beaded Lemon for two takes on the same fruit, or with the Beaded Tangerine and Beaded Pear for a full orchard branch. Handle it by the cap, the gilding is delicate.
