120mm Orange Glitter Glass Ornament by Jim Marvin

Warmer than red and half as expected.

The 120mm Orange Glitter Glass Ornament by Jim Marvin is a glass ball about 4.75 inches across. The orange is warm and clear, and the glitter is worked over the full surface so it reads as a fine texture rather than scattered flecks. Glitter over a warm color does something specific: it softens the edge of the sphere and makes the whole ornament look lit from inside when there is a bulb nearby.

Orange is the shortcut to a tree that feels warm instead of formal, and it bridges autumn and Christmas better than red does. Use these through the middle and front of the branches so the glitter catches light, and repeat the color at two or three different sizes so it reads as a palette. Off the tree they are good in a wooden dough bowl or worked into a mantel garland for tabletop styling. Pair with brass, terracotta, chocolate, and moss green.
