The 120mm Moss Glass Ball Ornament by Jim Marvin is hand-blown in moss green with a high gloss finish, deep enough to read almost black until the light hits it. It lands between traditional green and neutral, which is why it sits well with brass, bronze and cream instead of fighting them.
120mm is about 4.75 inches, the workhorse size. Big enough to hold a branch on its own, small enough to use in quantity, so buy these in fives and sevens rather than ones. Glass behaves differently than plastic on a tree: more weight, better light, a finish that photographs. Jim Marvin is the name collectors look for. Store it in the box and it comes back every year.
