9" Orange Glass Teardrop Ornament

Red and green had a long run. Let someone else do it.

The 9" Orange Glass Teardrop Ornament by Winward has the long, tapered shape of a blown-glass drop, finished in a warm, amber-leaning orange. Hand-blown glass, so the color carries depth instead of sitting flat on the surface, and the taper catches light along its whole length rather than in a single highlight. Nine inches puts it well past standard ornament scale, which is the point.

Orange is the color most Christmas trees are missing. Hung against green, either deep in the branches or out near the tips, it warms the whole tree without going traditional red. It also earns its keep past December, which most holiday glass cannot claim. Group three in a shallow bowl for tabletop styling, or mix with brass, amber glass, and dried florals on a console. Pair with terracotta, olive, and chartreuse for something that reads collected rather than themed.

How to Style It:

Scale is the whole trick. Hang the 9" teardrops first, spaced wide and set at different depths, then fill in around them with smaller glass. Leave a little air around each one so the shape still reads. Orange, brass, and olive is our favorite version of this.
